The foremost collegiate distance athletes will gather in Columbia, Missouri, for the 2025 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 22, taking place at the renowned Gans Creek Cross Country Course. This venue has established itself as a central location for high-level collegiate competition in recent years and will again host a robust and expanded national lineup.

The two races will be streamed live on ESPNU between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. ET, with complete streaming access provided via the ESPN App.

Race Day Itinerary:
The competition will commence with the women’s 6 km at 10:20 a.m. ET, followed by the men’s 10 km at 11:10 a.m. ET.
This year’s championship format has seen significant changes, with the NCAA increasing the Division I finals to include 32 teams for each gender, rising from the previous 31. In addition to these teams, 38 individual participants will compete in both the men’s 10 km and women’s 6 km events, making the total number of athletes per race 262—the largest participant fields in NCAA history.
Qualifying athletes secured their spots through nine regional championships held on November 14, where the leading two teams from each region received automatic entries, along with 14 teams selected at-large. Additionally, four individual auto-qualifiers from each region, as well as at-large picks, rounded out the 38 individuals.
With strong teams like Northern Arizona, Oklahoma State, BYU, NC State, Georgetown, Colorado, Stanford, and New Mexico continuously vying for top finishes, the scene is set for another exhilarating championship Saturday. The undulating landscape and spectator-friendly configuration of Gans Creek ensure quick, exciting races and a thrilling conclusion to the NCAA cross country season.
